Pretty Excited...

Today... I always get excited when my next workout program arrives in the mail.

I've completed Insanity and T25 (Where is T25 delta Shaun T? I guess you've been a bit busy.)  I had the opportunity to meet Shaun T in person in 2013.  Bananas Yo!  (It's one of his phrases, and also on his shirt here.)

I love all of his work and can't wait to max out...

Currently I'm following a Beachbody Pump and Combat hybrid.  I've done both programs separately, and loved them both.  Pump is a weight training program that has you lifting weights 3 times a week and Combat is a boxing/martial arts workout that fits nicely in between weight days.  I really miss Boxing and Krav Maga and this workout has gotten me back to kicking and punching and makes me miss hitting a bag even more.  I will most likely be ending this program early to start Insanity Max up in January with a group.  Stay tuned...

After that, I've got my eyes on Jillian's new program, Body Shred.  You could say I'm a super Jillian fan, I have done most of her programs.  I've been waiting for this class format to come out on DVD.  Woo Hoo!

This pic is from the same event where I met Shaun T.  Jillian kicked my butt in person!

Stuffed Pepper Soup

Hello again,

Starting to feel the Christmas rush yet?  It's just starting to hit me that I really need to get the final things checked off of my list.  I am all about simple and easy recipes when things get crazy.  Here's the latest that was a big hit.  We love anything pepper in this house, and I frequently make stuffed peppers themselves. I doubled the recipe and added one extra pepper. mentioned that it ends up more like a stew, and we loved it.

I've been getting some good work in on the Mitts.  Stay tuned for pics.  I can hear the clock ticking...

Awesome Pork Chop Hash Brown Casserole

Here's a quick and easy recipe that I keep find myself going back to when I have pork chops in the kitchen.

I make it as is with 6 pork chops, and the yield is a moist and delicious pork chop.  I generally use cream of chicken soup as I don't tend to have cream of celery on hand.  So many recipes dry them out, this one doesn't at all!  Six Sisters wins again!  I have a few of their recipes in rotation right now, but this is my favorite!

For those of you interested in my knitting, I've finally dusted off my needles.  I'm making some reading mitts for a Christmas present.

Dusting off the blog

Hey there!  I'm finally back!  A lot has gone on since I last posted.

I haven't been knitting, but I will be dusting off my needles this week.  Can't wait!

I may also start adding some new content to the blog.  I love to cook and I'd love to provide some recipe reviews or share some favorites.

The furballs are both doing well.

Stay tuned for a knitting update...

Winter Goals wrap up

I'm moving again into an apartment until this apartment is ready. No, I do not enjoy moving, but unfortunately, it's inevitable. AND my camera battery decided to die, so I don't have any pictures at the moment.

Here's a pathetic wrap-up:

Winter Knitting Goals
1. Cast on for at least one baby item for second pending baby. SORT OF (I have pic to explain)
2. Complete one baby item for second pending baby.
3. Participate in KrisKnits KAL. DONE
4. Participate and complete at least one dishcloth in KrisKnits KAL for either Jan, Feb, or Mar.
5. Participate and complete the dishcloth for each month in KrisKnits KAL (Jan, Feb, Mar).

Bonus: Cast on for something new (either a lavalette, a little ruffle, or ?)
March 20th, 2010

Well, one thing is for sure, I left myself room for improvement ;) After completing 4 of 5 of my Fall goals I thought I was back on a roll but then life happened... I did make a lot of progress on one dishcloth, KrisKnits January cloth. But c'mon, ONE? I'll be posting it soon. In terms of baby gifts, I hadn't blocked the ruffled hat, so I didn't gift it. One of the two pending babies that I was planning for received a dishcloth and I still hope to knit something for the second baby. And of course, there are more babies being added to the list (one for fall, so the completed ruffled hat may be an option.)
As for the next week I'll probably be packing, sorting, and moving. I hope to get my knitting time back after I am settled.

Spring Knitting Goals
1. Participate in KrisKnits KAL.
2. Complete KrisKnits KAL Jan dishcloth. (almost done)
3. Participate and complete at least one dishcloth (besides Jan) in KrisKnits KAL.
4. Cast on for something new (either a lavalette, a little ruffle, or ?)
Bonus: If bead stash is found, start 1 beading project.
June 21st, 2010

I wasn't as ambitious with my goals this season. I'm thinking that way I can get more checked off of my list. I hope to get some more dishcloth knitting in, as well as a cast on for a new project. I'd really love to find my beads in storage! I've got a few projects that I'd really like to cast on for now, so we'll have to see what wins. Also, I'll be traveling in June for work again, and this time it's a LONG flight, so I'd like to have some good travel knitting OTN.
