Happy Malabrigo March Contest!

I recently stopped by my LYS and in honor of Malabrigo March, I picked up some Malabrigo. I have been meaning to make an Amanda hat and I'm running out of time for it to be considered Malabrigo March knitting. For some reason this color hit me and I picked up 2 hanks. I wound one for an Amanda hat and decided to buy another for a prize!
So, in celebration of Malabrigo March and my starting of a new job next week, I will kick off my first blog contest with a comments contest!

Dusty offered to model for the shoot.
Here's his action shot. I'm not sure if he looks big of if the Malabrigo looks small.

Prize: One Hank Malabrigo Worsted in Vermillion
How to enter: Just leave a comment on this post!
Extra entries for the over achievers (not unlike me): Post it on your blog and you get an extra entry. (Make sure to let me know in my comments) Someone says you sent them in their entry, you both get an extra entry.
Even more entries for the Malabrigo obsessed AND over achievers (Definitely not unlike me): Member of Malabrigo Junkies on Ravelry? Just mention that your a member and what your knitting for Malabrigo March. Maybe we can drum up some inspiration for others that way!

Here's his parting shot. He thought the yarn looked lovely with his fluffy gray coat.
I decided not to tell him that was why I let him take the shoot in the first place.

Winners will be picked by random number generator
Entries Close: 5:00 pm (Eastern Time) on Friday March 28th.
I hope to be able to contact the winner for their snail mail address and mail out the prize before Malabrigo March ends.

Hey, I've posted about your contest on my blog. :)
Though I must confess I've never knit with Malabrigo. I don't have much of a LYS in my town, and it's not one of the yarns that they carry. I'm sure it must be scrumptious though!

pretty kitty! I have never had my hands on any of this malabrigo yarn i hear so much about! I first read about it in the amanda hat blog and so want to knit one of these hats as well! Enjoy your new job! I linked through Witknit and am linking to you as well.

rainberry said...

That yarn is so pretty! I'm on the malabrigo junkies group on ravelry and I made a shrug in the beginning of March out of Malabrigo Chunky in Indigo. It is really pretty, I love malabrigo!

I came here from Kris's Needle in the eye and I'll post it on my blog too!!

what a awsome prize!

cthulhulovesme said...

Meep meep. Despite having been a knitter for 4 years, I've still never worked with Malabrigo. Then again, before last week, I'd also never worked with Lorna's Laces, so I suppose it'll have to happen eventually.

-cthulhulovesme over on Ravelry, though not a member of Malabrigo Junkies for obvious reasons.

Bea said...

Great contest! I LOVE malabrigo. I am a member of the malabrigo junkies, but I'm not participating in the knitting for malabrigo march sadly.
